Biography

  • 20+ years’ experience in real estate and corporate related notarial work such as (cross-border) mergers, conversions and spin-offs.
  • Specialised work includes corporate real estate transactions, real estate related private equity transactions, open-ended real estate investment funds, real estate restructurings, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions. 
  • Experienced with capital markets transactions related to real estate on behalf of major international real estate sponsors.
  • Previous projects include advising an institutional investor on the sale of the famous Alsterhaus, a department store in Hamburg; the sale and lease back of the Gothaer Headquarters (Insurance); a large number of shopping centre acquisitions and disposals; inter alia the “Alexa” in Berlin.
  • Clients include CBRE Global Investors, Hines, Aurec Capital and Union Investment Institutional Properties GmbH.

  • IVG - Advising IVG on the sale of the Alsterhaus department store in Hamburg to a subsidiary of SIGNA-Group.
  • Union Investment Institutional Property GmbH - Advising Union Investment Institutional Property GmbH on the acquisition of a portfolio of 6 mixed use properties (mainly offices) in Luxembourg and Germany on behalf of one of their institutional funds.
  • CBRE and TRS of Texas - Advising CBRE and TRS of Texas on the acquisition of the “Leine Centre” in Laatzen/Hannover from LaSalle and Fay Projects.
  • CBRE Global Investors - Advised on the acquisition of a shopping centre in the city centre of Düren, North Rhine-Westfalia as well as on the subsequent disposal of the centre after a holding period of four years to Union Investment for EUR 70 Mio.
  • Aurec Capital Ltd. - Advising Aurec Capital Ltd. on the sale and leaseback of the Gothaer headquarters in Cologne, consisting of four office buildings and a parking garage (approx. 100,000 sq. m.).
