Marcus is a partner within BLP’s innovative asset protection team and sits within the global Private Client practice group in Hong Kong. He is recognised as one of Asia’s leading Private Client and Family lawyers and advises high profile Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) individuals and families on all aspects of private wealth. This ranges from asset protection through complex international trusts/corporate structures, the commercial interests of private capital including multi-jurisdictional pre-nuptial agreements and cross-border matrimonial litigation. Alongside advising UHNW individuals, he has also represented trustees in international trust cases. He continues to act in family law and asset preservation cases.

Marcus has been involved in many high profile divorce cases in Hong Kong. He represented Florence Tsang in London and Hong Kong leading to the highest ever litigated divorce award in Hong Kong’s history and has played a key role in lobbying for and introducing family law adjudication (arbitration) in Hong Kong in 2014 and 2015. Marcus is also recognised for his international cutting-edge expertise in child surrogacy law where he advocates the need for international surrogacy regulation.

He is praised in Chambers Asia Pacific 2016 for being "patient and meticulous," and one client states: "Really, I would recommend him to any friend who needs a family lawyer."

Marcus is qualified in Hong Kong, England & Wales and the BVI. He regularly speaks at conferences and contributes to a number of broadsheet newspapers, textbooks, magazines and journals.
