Functional Cookies

These are cookies that allow this web site to function in a better way.

  • Coldfusion session cookies: these cookies are set by the software that we use to build this web site. They are used to store authentication details if you have successfully logged into one of our sites. We are not using them to store personal information. These cookies are called cfid and cftoken.
  • Arraffinity cookie: this cookie is set by this website as it runs on the windows azure cloud platform. It is used for load balancing to make sure the visitor page requests are routed to the same server in any browsing session.
  • Add this social sharing widget cookie: this cookie is called __atuvc and embedded in our website to enable visitors to share content with a range of networking and sharing platforms. It stores an updated page share count.
Hubspot

Our website uses hubspot third-party services that has their cookies embedded to our site. Those cookies are: __hssc, __hssrc, __hstc, hsfirstvisit, _ceg.s, _ceg.u, _ga, hspagesviewedthissession. They are used by hubspot for website analytics and user authentication.

Google
  • Analytics - we use google analytics (http://www.google.com/analytics/) to tell us how many visitors we have to this web site and what those visitors do while on this website. All tracking data is anonymous. These cookies are called _utma, _utmb, _utmc, _utmv, __utmt, _utmz.
  • Advertising - those cookies are used by google for advertising: aid, ide, __gads, id, dsid, ged_playlist_activity, _drt_. All of those cookies except for aid are set up by doubleclick.net. Doubleclick uses cookies to improve advertising. Some common applications are to target advertising based on what’s relevant to a user, to improve reporting on campaign performance and to avoid showing ads that the user has already seen.
  • Google maps - cookie name(s): ogp, ogpc, sid, sapisid, apisid, ssid, hsid, nid. Google set a number of cookies on any page that includes a google map. While we have no control over the cookies set by google, they appear to include a mixture of pieces of information to measure the number and behaviour of google maps users.
  • Google tag manager - google tag manager (gtm) keeps track of a set of tags and tag-firing triggers that define when those tags should be made available on our site. The following cookies are used by gtm: gtm_debug, gtm_preview.

We use siteimprove to check for any accessibility or quality issues on the website. The cookies set by siteimprove are:

  • Siteimproveses cookie - this cookie is used purely to track the sequence of pages a visitor looks at during a visit to the site. This information can be used to reduce user journeys, and enable visitors to find relevant information quicker.
  • Nmstat cookie -  this cookie is used to help record the visitor’s use of the website. It is used to collect statistics about site usage such as when the visitor last visited the site. This information is then used to improve the user experience on the website. This siteimprove analytics cookie contains a randomly generated id used to recognise the browser when a visitor reads a page. The cookie contains no personal information and is used only for web analytics.
