BLP wins Thames Water contract extension

Thames Water has today announced it will extend its award-winning multi-million pound contract with international law firm, Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP).  Under the new arrangement BLP’s strategic legal outsourcing partnership with Thames Water will continue until 2018.

The announcement will mean a seamless continuation of the landmark project, which began in 2010, and is still recognised as one of the most innovative deals in the legal services market.

BLP Partner, John Bennett who devised the managed legal services arrangement with Thames Water’s legal team, said: “We are delighted that our award-winning service has lived up to its promise by measurably addressing what Thames Water care about as a business and producing results which they value.”

BLP’s joint client relationship partner for Thames Water, Andrew Hockley, said: “Our extended agreement ensures we can continue to deliver great service at the right price.  We value this opportunity to deepen further our relationship with Thames Water and to continue to support the business.”

Joel Hanson, GC at Thames Water, said: “We are delighted to build on the successes of our partnership with BLP.  By making our lives simpler, my team will continue to spend more time on strategic business issues.”
