BLP wins Chambers Europe UK Award for Excellence

Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) won the Chambers Europe UK Award for Excellence at an awards ceremony in Barcelona.  The Awards, which were launched this year, recognise the pre-eminence of key practice areas and notable achievements over the past 12 months.

Chambers Europe said that BLP had “secured some of the most desirable mandates of the year, with an increasingly global flavour” and highlighted the firm’s “rising profile in the high-end work, alongside a stellar mid-market performance”.

This success is the latest recognition of the progress BLP is making as a firm. Other recent achievements include being ranked as one of the UK’s most attractive places to work in the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For and being named as the most upwardly mobile firm in an independent survey of senior City lawyers.

Some significant developments over the past 12 months include recruiting over 100 new lawyers, including 11 partners, completing the refurbishment of its London Bridge headquarters and consolidating its ‘preferred firm’ relationships for international work.

Neville Eisenberg, BLP’s Managing Partner, said: “This award reflects the hard work of everyone in the firm over the last few years. We have been investing heavily in the firm’s capability and our international reach. It is very pleasing for this to be recognised by Chambers Europe.”
