BLP launches new financial crime and regulatory defence team

Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) has launched a dedicated financial crime and regulatory defence team.  Twenty strong, and including eleven partners, the team will deal with investigations both financial and regulatory, prosecutions and related matters.  The team was set up in response to the changing regulatory landscape heralded both by recent events, and the increasingly proactive stance being taken by regulators including the European Commission, the Serious Fraud Office and the Financial Services Authority.

Work to be undertaken by the team will cover a diverse range of issues, including tax fraud, competition law infringement, fraud and corruption allegations, dawn raids, money laundering and insider dealing.
