BLP advises Prairie Mining on first ever ASX, LSE and WSE listing

International law firm, Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP), has advised Prairie Mining on its standard listing on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange (LSE) which admitted today. Prairie Mining is developing the Lublin Coal project in Poland and has recently agreed an up to A$83m capital injection from mining private equity fund, CD Capital, subject to shareholder approval.

The Prospectus, which was prepared in support of the London listing, has also been passported into Poland in support of a listing on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (WSE). Admission on the WSE is expected to occur tomorrow, 4 September and will make Prairie the only Australian Securities Exchange, LSE and WSE listed Company.

BLP’s Co-head of Mining Alexander Keepin comments: “This complex cross-border transaction has resulted in the first ever listing of this combination, which BLP is very pleased to have been a part of. Successfully executing this deal will allow Prairie Mining to further raise its profile within Europe and allow investors to participate in its growth.”

The BLP team was led by Corporate Finance partner Alexander Keepin, with senior associate Brian Mulkerrins, and associates Jamie Kerr and Olga Shiryaeva. BLP led a multi-jurisdictional team which included DLA Piper Australia and Linklaters Warsaw.
