BLP advised new client Stride Gaming plc (Stride Gaming) on its $103m initial public offering (IPO) on AIM which completed on 19 May.

Stride Gaming is a UK focused, real money, bingo-led online operator, using its proprietary and purchased software to provide online bingo and related gaming activities to players.

Partner Alex Latner states “Listing on AIM at this time will allow Stride Gaming to capitalise on the changes and opportunities for consolidation in the online gaming market as a result of the recent POC tax introduction. Members of our corporate finance, commercial and regulatory teams were again able to draw on our in-depth knowledge and experience of the gaming sphere to provide a fully integrated and seamless service to our clients.”

The transaction was led by Corporate Finance Partner, Alex Latner and Associate Director, Gareth Jones, assisted by Finella Hartono and Olga Shiryaeva. Mimi Curran led on gambling regulatory matters.

The board of Stride includes the former CEO of Sportingbet Plc, the founder of the GlobalCom bingo network, one of the largest bingo networks worldwide, and the current General Counsel and Company Secretary at Selfridges Group.
