Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP (BLP) advised international consultancy, engineering and project management company, AMEC plc, on its acquisition of leading project services company Rider Hunt International Limited (RHI) for £25m.  RHI is an international provider of project services to the oil, gas, chemical, energy and process industries, with a professional staff of some 240 people across 15 countries.

The BLP deal team, led by AMEC client relationship partner Keith Stella, included corporate finance partner Murdoch Currie and corporate finance senior associate Richard Stewart.

Commenting on the transaction, Keith Stella said:

Our corporate finance group has developed a strong relationship with AMEC, having acted for the company on several of its recent strategic transactions, including the sale of its Built Environment division in 2007. We are delighted to be able to carry on working so closely with AMEC to help it achieve its strategic goals; the BLP team delivered quality advice within a very tight timeframe to enable AMEC rapidly to conclude this transaction.
