Berwin Leighton Paisner advised KBC Bank NV on the purchase of its HQ on Old Broad Street, London

Berwin Leighton Paisner LLP acted for a subsidiary of KBC Bank NV on the purchase of its London head quarters building on Old Broad Street, London. As one of the top 20 Banks in Europe, KBC Bank has occupied their head quarters in Old Broad Street for a number years and this was a prestigious instruction given the value of the transaction.

The BLP team was led by the BLP client relationship partner for KBC, Real Estate Finance Partner, Mark Waghorn supported by Real Estate Partner Richard Hopkinson Woolley, Senior Associate Sam Narula and Tax Partners, Neville Wright and Elizabeth Bradley. Real Estate Finance Associate Charlotte Nelson assisted Mark on the debt aspects of the transaction.

Mark Waghorn said: “We were delighted to be asked by KBC Group to act on this significant transaction for the Bank acquiring their prestigious London HQ occupied by the London Branch of the Bank, their corporate finance operation KBC Peel Hunt, and equities business KBC Financial Products.
