Advised Union Investment Real Estate on the forward funding of the new Admiral Insurance HQ in Cardiff.

Broadgate development

Advised Blackstone Group, in its capacity as 50% owner of the Broadgate Estate, on the development of a 700,000 sq ft office building at Broadgate to house the European headquarters of UBS. Also advised on the Development Management Agreement entered into between the JV vehicle and British Land.

Sale and leaseback

Advised Deutsche Bank AG on the sale and leaseback of 51 properties across 9 European jurisdictions.

OpernTürm acquisition

Advised GIC Real Estate (the real estate arm of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation) on a joint venture, to acquire the OpernTürm in Frankfurt’s central business district. The 168m high-rise office tower was built up by US developer Tishman Speyer at the end of 2009 and let to international tenants.

Airport development

Advised Beijing Construction Engineering Group in relation to the development of the £800 million Airport City project at Manchester Airport, a joint venture with Manchester Airport Group, Carillion and the Greater Manchester Pension Fund. Airport City will provide 5 million square feet of commercial development, including offices, hotels, manufacturing and logistics.
