In light of the increasingly complex and international nature of our business, our client's and marketplace expectations, we must ensure the firm is appropriately and effectively managing risk in relation to the delivery of our legal services and the operation of our business in accordance with the Solicitor's Code of Conduct.  

Risk and Compliance is managed by a dedicated independent Risk and Compliance Department based in London with an international and cross-functional advisory remit.  The team work closely with the Managing Partner, the Board and the Risk Committee to ensure co-ordination and alignment with our business objectives and a “clear line of sight” and accountability in respect of all areas of risk, including compliance and regulatory issues.  Client due diligence and conflicts are managed by a specialist team to ensure compliance with applicable anti money laundering and counter terrorist legislation.

Our team’s objective is to manage risk at BLP on an enterprise wide basis which embeds ownership of risk at all levels across our business, enhances achievement of our strategic and business objectives and protects our reputation.
