The Real Estate Tax team is acknowledged as having a major presence in the real estate industry, with some of the top real estate tax practitioners in the City and expertise on the full range of real estate-related direct and indirect taxes.

The Real Estate Tax team works closely with the firm’s award winning real estate practice and has wide experience of real estate transactions, including property acquisitions, developments, leasing and holding structures, investments for residents and non-residents, funds (both domestic and cross border) including PAIFs and REITs, joint ventures, property company takeovers, listings and M&As.

Members of the team are active participants in real estate industry groups and committees such as the British Property Federation (BPF) and the Association of Real Estate Funds (AREF), and we have been involved in many of the recent Treasury/HMRC consultations and developments including PAIFs, VAT, SDLT and partnerships.
