Jill Parker

Jill Parker combines a part -time role as a solicitor at Berwin Leighton Paisner with training and competing in triathlons. She took part in her first triathlon in 2004 and, by 2007, had won the National Championships and the National Ranking Series in her age group, and came eighth in the World Triathlon Championships in Hamburg. In June 2008, Jill competed in the World Triathlon Championships in Vancouver where she finished second in her age group and in the top ten across all age groups. In July 2008, Jill won gold in Wakefield when she successfully defended her National Triathlon championship title. So far this year, Jill was placed 6th at the British Elite Standard distance championships in May, won the Amateur British National Championships in June, claimed bronze in the British Elite Sprint Championships 2009 in July, and finished 3rd overall in the British Elite Super Series league in August.

Since completing the 2009 round of summer triathlons in August, Jill has been busy training for the winter season. In September, she was interviewed by Tri-athletes’ World and her picture made front cover of the magazine. More recently, Jill has appointed a new coach - double-Olympian Michelle Dillon, to help her to prepare for 2010. 

Jill will open her season competing in the British Elite Duathlon Championships in March and will follow the British Elite Triathlon Super Series across the UK the first race being in Scotland in May and culminating in London in August.  At the end of the season Jill will head off to compete at the Triathlon World Championships in Budapest.
