CSR

 

Introduction

Giving our time and legal services to the wider community is an important part of our culture and practice.  We are also committed to reducing our impact on the environment.  We have a well-established CSR programme focusing on our local community, with the aims of engaging our staff, creating a substantial impact and making a real difference.

Our CSR programme is inclusive and aims to provide opportunities for everyone in the firm. It encompasses community involvement, pro bono work, charitable work and environmental sustainability.

Our Head of CSR works closely with our CSR Partner and they report to the Managing Partner and the Board. In addition, every practice group and business services department has two CSR Champions.

Our community volunteering programme focuses on our neighbouring boroughs of Newham, Tower Hamlets and Southwark. All of our staff are entitled to one day per year paid time off during regular working hours to volunteer with one of our community partners. 

A number of our partners are trustees and board members of charitable organisations, including Think London, Mentor UK, Heart Cells Foundation, the Three Faiths Forum, Cancerkin (Royal Free Hospital Breast Cancer Appeal) and the Holocaust Education Trust.

We use the London Benchmarking Group reporting model to calculate our contributions to the community. The LBG model provides a standardised way of managing and measuring a company’s community involvement.
