IP Licensing & Franchising
We advise on licensing arrangements for IP across all industry sectors, including hotels, gaming, retail, software, the defence sector, content and data and medical devices.
We work closely with colleagues in our tax department to create tax efficient intra-group licensing arrangements.
We analyse portfolios of IP rights and licences as part of the due diligence process for internal company reviews, restructurings, disposals and acquisitions.
We deal with franchising arrangements in the hotels and retail sectors in particular, drawing upon the experience of Associate Natasha Aziz, the former Head of Legal at Laura Ashley.
