In response to the "credit crunch" and the resulting market conditions there has been an increased emphasis in BLP's Capital Markets team on restructuring and work outs of all forms of debt, structured credit and securitised assets. There has also been a marked increase in work associated with the asset servicers' and asset managers' obligations and responsibilities, buying/selling mispriced debt from investment banks and in relation to an increasing number of new funds specialising in distressed capital markets debt.

We act for a variety of market participants including issuers, trustees, security trustees, collateral administrators, liquidation agents, asset servicers and special servicers. We act for all kinds of buyers and sellers of bonds and underlying assets, often working closely with our preferred firms on cross-border transactions.
