Build a complete picture of the legal risk that social media can subject your organisation to

Social media are now part of everyday personal – and working – life. They give organisations a cheap way to reach customers and to collaborate internally, but they also bring risk.

Our social-media group includes litigation, employment, IP and commercial lawyers, as well as our legal risk and social-media specialists. This group assessed five legal-risk types and three categories of social-media use to construct our social media legal-risk matrix. The matrix identifies eleven specific legal risks associated with social media, and is designed to help you build a complete picture of the legal risk that social media can subject your organisation to.

As well as identifying the risks, we assessed the potential financial and indirect impact of each risk in typical and extreme scenarios. And we suggest ways to mitigate each risk identified.
